Musselman will present a proven blueprint for how sponsors and CROs can build beneficial alliances based on effective processes and common goal-setting. He will present practical guidelines for developing and implementing effective communications, governance structures, and performance measurement, as well how to conduct effective joint budgeting and planning. Musselman will also provide real-world examples of strategic alliance agreements and the benefits that both sponsors and CROs are realizing from them. In his 30-year career in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical industries, Musselman has become a noted expert in clinical drug development, cost management, and outsourcing, having managed numerous global phase II-III clinical trials across multiple therapeutic disciplines. Prior to joining ClearTrial, he served as Senior Director, R&D Contract Management and Procurement for G.D. Searle (Pfizer). Musselman has more than 10 years’ experience specifically within the CRO industry, having been Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Springborn Laboratories (SCIREX), Director of Business Development at G.H.Besselaar (Covance). and before that a founding member of Clinical Research International, now part of Kendle Research.
