ClearTrial Announces version 1.8.3 and Enhanced Integration with Microsoft Project®

Oakbrook Terrace, IL — June 20, 2006 . ClearTrial , LLC, a leading provider of Clinical Trial Operations Planning (CTOP) software, today announced the release of ClearTrial version 1.8.3, an update to its highly acclaimed software suite that helps life sciences firms and clinical research organizations to plan, budget, outsource, and optimize the operational design of clinical trials.

With two mouse clicks, the software automatically generates comprehensive clinical project plans in Microsoft Project®, said Michael Soenen, Chief Operating Officer at ClearTrial. The Project plan is driven directly from your clinical assumptions so when your assumptions change, it takes just a few seconds to regenerate the entire project plan.

ClearTrial® Plan automatically generates monthly projections for study costs, accruals, staffing and FTE requirements, key metrics and milestone dates. With version 1.8.3, ClearTrial has made integration with Microsoft Project® faster and simpler. Version 1.8.3 also automatically generates reports that compare Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS) against projected milestone achievement, which enables clinical outsourcing and finance personnel to better negotiate cash neutral payment schedules with their CRO partners.

ClearTrial has signed four new customers in the past eight weeks, all of which are running version 1.8.3 along with Microsoft Project®. The ClearTrial software can also be configured to integrate with OPX2® and other global resource planning tools.

ClearTrial software continues to make clinical planning and outsourcing faster and more accurate, said Soenen. It links the clinical planning, outsourcing, finance and now project planning processes the way it should—all integrated with the clinical assumptions.
