ClearTrial , LLC, a leading provider of Clinical Trial Operations Planning (CTOP) software, today announced the release of ClearTrial version 1.8, an update to its highly acclaimed software suite that helps life sciences firms and clinical research organizations plan, forecast, budget, and optimize clinical trials. Each module within ClearTrial version 1.8 contains enhancements to provide customers even greater flexibility, accuracy, and speed when planning and outsourcing clinical trials, said Michael Soenen, Chief Operating Officer of ClearTrial . We continue to listen intently to our growing customer base and these enhancements are the result what we have heard. Included in ClearTrial version 1.8 are updates to reflect today’s more competitive electronic data capture (EDC) market. This will provide more accuracy in estimating clinical trial budgets for studies that employ EDC. Updates also are included to keep pace with changes in travel costs and time, and for changing market conditions related to outsourcing costs in India, Pakistan, Turkey and other regions. Additional updates to algorithms that calculate resource level of effort are also included in this release. The activity-based planning approach that the ClearTrial software uses is proving to be invaluable for forecasting clinical trial budgets and negotiating contracts, said Karen Zuklie, Director of Planning and Outsource Management at Purdue Pharma LP. I’m impressed with ClearTrial’s ability to keep current with changes in the industry.
